AGRA: Sleuths of Maharashtra police arrested a teenager from Etawah for circulating an offensive video on WhatsApp which led to a riot-like situation in Amravati town in the state last month.
Maharashtra police lodged an FIR against the boy, who allegedly uploaded the video on October 23. On November 5, Amravati police raided the boy's house in Etawah and arrested him. While local Hindu groups objected to the arrest, the police presented the boy in the local CJM's court and obtained transit remand of 72 hours. The boy was presented in an Amravati court on Saturday where the judge denied him bail, saying that his mischief caused communal tension.
