Married woman raped by 'Facebook friend' in Jodhpur.
The man drugged her in absence of her husband, raped her and filmed the act, and started blackmailing her. Fed up, the woman narrated the incident to her husband and registered a case against him on Sunday night.
According to ACP Swati Sharma, the police got the medical examination of the woman done and have recorded her statement under section 161 of CrPC. "We would now proceed with her recorded statement before the magistrate on Tuesday. Sharma said that the 35-year-old married woman had opened her Facebook account in 2013. The accused identified as Gajendra Singh from Nagaur district, sent her a friend request, which she accepted, and which gradually led to friendship between them. "They also exchanged their phone numbers triggering a regular conversation between them. Later, he also obtained the residential address of the woman," Sharma informed. "One day in absence of her husband, Singh came to her house and got her to consume some spiked drink. In the state of intoxication, he raped her and filmed the act. After this, he started blackmailing her of making the video viral on the net," she said.
Terrified, she closed her FB account but Singh created her fake account and uploaded vulgar pictures on it, with a view to harass her in the pursuit of sexual favours.
Finally, the woman shared the incident with her husband, who immediately took her to the police station on Sunday night and filed a complaint against Gajendra Singh.
"We have registered a case against Gajendra Singh under different sections of IPC including raping, threatening and blackmailing," said Sharma.
