Objectives of the FDP
There have been unprecedented advances in developing technologies to enable the next generation networks, while many new challenges and opportunities are emerging. Of particular importance to the next generation networks are the emerging topics such as software defined networks (SDN), network virtualization, cloud and fog computing, network heterogeneity, content and centric-based networking, scalability, services and applications, security, manageability, dependability, value added services and performance predictability.
This FDP aims at providing a forum for experts for discussing, identifying open and potential challenges and opportunities of defines Next-Generation Networks (NGN) including NFV, SDN, NDN, 5G and IoT and other future networking technologies. Members of the research and academic community will be able to interact on cutting-edge and ground breaking topics of future networks. This workshop is organized by Malaviya National Institute Technology, Jaipur (MNIT-Jaipur) in association with ISEA Project Phase-II.
Topics for brainstorming (Tentative)
The major contents of the programme are:
- Next-Generation Networks (NGN) Challenges& Opportunities
- Software Defined Network (SDN)
- Network function virtualization
- IoT enabling technologies
- Software Defined Radio (SDR) and Cognitive Radio networks
- Future privacy and/or security issues, intrusion detection and prevention in next generation networks
- Mobile security:device, application and data
In addition to classroom lectures, the programme includes discussions, hands-on sessions, assignments and Ph.D. forum.
The program is targeted towards postgraduates, researchers, scholars, faculty members from academic institutes, Industry professionals & consultants.
Distinguished faculty members of reputed National and International Institutions such as IIT, IIIT, and NIT and experts from Industrial organizations shall be delivering lectures.
For registration duly filled Registration form along with Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Registrar, MNIT Jaipur” should be sent in advance to the Course Coordinators through email or in original through registered post. The confirmation would be sent through email. The registration fee, for people from MNIT Jaipur, includes course materials, certificate and tea only. The registration fee, for people outside of MNIT Jaipur, includes course materials, certificate, working lunch and tea.

Limited accommodation is available in the Guest House / Hostels of the MNIT for outstation participants on the nominal chargeable (participants have to pay) basis with an advance request and on a first come first serve basis. The participant will not be paid any TA/DA.
